Ok I think I totally spelled the title wrong but oh well.

I have a idea foe a feature proposal and it is make it so when you edit your post the thread is bumped. It would be usefull for like wip threads like you could edit the origional post with updates and the thread would be bumped.

Or mabye you could just adda “bump” button for the thread starter for that same reason. cause I dont really like to double post when theres updates.

That’s a good idea but you’d have to restrict it somehow, maybe only a certain number of bumps within x amount of minutes? It would work well for those with WIP’s but i think people might abuse it.

The “bump” button would certainly be used by everyone and it’d be very annoying to have threads bumped up with nothing new in them.

Bumping when editing the original -and only the original- post is a good idea.

We could restrict the bump to thread creator only, and only in WIP/Finished Projects/Focused Critique. That would eliminate trolls and if the bump button were ever really abused by a thread owner we could then take appropriate steps to stop it from happening again.

Not a bad idea.

Not me, I’m just a moderator. Besides this someone has to write a plugin for vBulletin to make it work.

I’ll steer Timothy & Co. this way though.
