Yeah, it’s tough getting the right shape. It’s unbelievable how fine the line is between beautiful and ugly.
Thanks for the settings, I adjusted some bits like the specular colour - I think that’s the colour of the shiny highlights so I made it slightly lighter than the skin colour instead of blueish, darkened the skin and softened the specularity. It’s looking much better than I had it - it was a bit clay-like before. I think the emit value made a huge difference - it gives an effect a little like subsurface scattering.
that’s very good. body shapes are well defined and mostly correct
However watch your proportions. Torso is quite too small for the legs. upper legs are too small for the lower parts, hands and forearm seems to be a little too flat.
head seems a bit too big and round for this neck too.
Here is another update. Before anybody points it out the back needs a lot of work as do the arms and legs. Any help on improving this areas is welcome.
Her head looks sort of “infant-esque” if that makes sense. Very babyish. I think its because its so round. The problem I see is that there is no expression in the facial features. Its so blank that its hard to see the quality of the modeling. Its clear that the angle of her nose to her face is far too sharp. The line is like a sharp crease that runs perfectly straight up the side of her nose and I think its distracting. Also, the corners of the mouth seem too pointed to me, and the mouth does not wrap around the face at all, but rather looks a bit flatly attached to the head. I hope this helps somehow. The body is very good however. (Its funny how men can model a body better than a face…)
Whoa. The irises in her eyes look a bit intense… kind of like the metal behind the light bulb in a flashlight. Though it’s effective for knocking a person over, it kind of distracts one from the beauty of the rest of the picture.
