How did you do the lettering on the tyre? I tried to did it by UV mapping and i get a python script error every time, i set the mapping type to Orco, and it works, but the texture is incorrectly mapped. Please help

You must unwrap first tire to put texture to UV

I’m using Yafray, in scene there are some area lamps and emiters

Nice, but the gaps that The_ikodn remarked on before still aren’t quite good. The gaps around the door is also not very even.

In that last pic, what is the material settings for the rim? and is there a HDR image?

yes, I’m using HDRI

rim- simply coated glossy material with blue glossy color and IOR~1.5, glossy reflect = 0.150, anisotropic = 50

Now that’s a very nice model. The carpaint material looks good too.
The rear side doesn’t look exactly like the 599 but you are probably aware of that. The diffuser looks different (with the weird fog lights) and the lower part of the bumper is usually grey and looks less bulky. The spoiler is also smaller and left and right from the license plate there an extra curve that makes the car look less round.

I guess you made a tuned Ferrari, which is IMO not as nice as the real 599 GTB Fiorano. Nonetheless, great work.

EDIT: forgot to mention the weird B-style. The original 599 has no visible one.

Kelly … do you had any trouble with blend materials on yafaray? ´cause everytime i create one , it disapear after close blender … ( missing one of materials ) … it´s already happened with you ??

Btw … the ferrari is amazing … but i´m keep with studio render …

No, but sometimes I have problem with disapearing objects, they are deleted :eek:

Blend materials I create by adding to object 3 mat.

@ Kelly … but i do so , add 3 materials to object, set up each one and blend it.I dont know … i´ll ask to Samo on yafaray forum.Thanks anyway!!! keep going!!!
