Ferrari Testarossa JDM or GT3

In deed :>
yep but in real life. when you see a car it is acctualy big diff. Maserati have very sharp edges and other curve then aston. :).

never seen an aston. have seen a maserati at a car show. and on a completelty different subject, i got inspiration for my murcielago from some dude who lives in the next city over who owns an R8 and a murcielago… lol

Modelling looks superb, and that purple colour is absolutely brilliant  Looking forward to seeing it completed!

Also, as a side-note, for anyone who doesn’t know already the Subaru BRZ is actually the same car as the Toyota GT86 and Scion FR-S. A great-looking car, IMO.
As for the Hyundai Genesis looking like the Aston DBS, they do indeed look similar. I remember the first time I saw a Genesis, at first I also thought it was an Aston Martin because of the winged badge.

toyota / toyobaru… indeed, toyota owns suburu, scion, lexus, isuzu daihatzu and several others.

for a long time Porsche owned 38% of VW who owns bently, bugatti, lamborghini, seat, audi and skoda.

Fiat owns ferrari.

ford used to own aston.

Hmm, I can’t really see how does the Genesis look like an Aston… back in topic, the project is looking great. Haven’t figured out how was that exhaust made yet tho…

Does are so much diff. cars that omg!.

for someone who is not only a 3d designer but also seems to be into cars, the fact that you cant see the similarities is scaring me. both have a mustache in the back, both have body kits, both have sloping slanted windows, both have pointed rear windows, both use a rounded lip spoiler, both have a 2" recess for the bumper, both have elongated rear lights that protrude into the rear quarter panels.

under the hood, damn straight, 325 vs 460, bit of a difference. weight to torque ratio way different, shape of the hood, ill give you that one, but from the back they look prety damn close bro.

I just you know db9 can be symilar too dbs.
Aston martin on pictrue looks nice but trust me in real life it is whole difrent car then on pictrue never mind.

Good news so:

  • i add some details and textures to the tire, some retopology done 2
  • i am going to make tutorial about modeling exhuast, so keep watching acctualy i will start series of modeling tips and post production.

Tyre finall look almost some minor details maybe i will add later.
Now focus on brakes  but before that i have to make a tutorial about exhuast.

warn down tires? really? im sry if it comes across rude, but i would have gone with new tires. this is a studio shot. even for outdoor shots they put new tires on it, aline the rims and tires how they like, and use rolling stilts to roll the car in and set the car down so the tires stay nice, clean, shiny, and the rims rotation stays precise.

Acctualy the finall rendering will be the car from the racing track so it will be used scratches etc… it is racing car  a bit of tuned  we will se maybe i will add some more fresh look. I add’ed lattiace how i could forget about that  and more details textures etc. i have to correct one texture and add one more in one place and i think i can move next.

wow, erm, even on a track, you wont find scuffs like that after a single use, not on the sides, not unless the driver was drifting win which case those tires are WAYYYYYY too wide. when the drivers tires heat up it will loosen up on the edges. more ware will appear in the center. the tires will look new for quite while. here are some used race pirellis. http://www.autowheelsdirect.net/ebaytires/Corsa.jpg

my next issue is… NOBODY who knows anything about racing would race with those. too thick of a tread. if they where scared of rain, or used the car off the track, they would use “semi slicks” which look like this.

IF YOU ARE DEAD SET ON BRIDGESTONE POTENZAS (would not be my first choice for racing. pirelli or toyo is ideal)…

I can’t find some really good resource for pirelli p zero because that was the tyre i want to use… and i was having really awesome resource for that tyre and i have make that one… so… when i will finish the car i will model the new tyre pirelli p zero. For now i will leave this one and make it a bit more newfresh look. So i will count on you when i will go back to modeling the new tyres with i will do. because i want pirelli p zero. But i was a bit lazy so i made this one with i had textures xD And acctualy i really like how you comment because you write some really important stuff. so keep going! we will go back to tyres in next week i think now it is time for lamps.

i have make a video about modeling exhaust

tire rack .com bro. thats where i go for all my tire treds. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Pirelli&tireModel=P+Zero+Rosso. just click on the tire tred then drag the image to your desktop and vuala. pZero rosso’s. common all weather racing tires. they come with lamborghinis and ferraris standard. you can find bump maps for these tires EVERYWHERE, just google “pirelli pzero texture.”

remember, pzeros are 19"-20" rims

i was typing pirelli pzero XD without texture. Today i figurate that that i forgot to type texture i was makeing that tyre in night after 1:00 and really forgot… thx for that page!

Did you check the video is it good?

glad i could help.

i like your tut. good work. I think you would benefit from the vert snap tool. you are very fast whic hmakes up for this, but instead of deleting all thes edges, half the time you can do a G>vert snap>W>remove doubles, and you will handle an entire edge or 2 all at once. if you can apply the same speed you have now with this teqnique i think you could work quicker and more eficiantly with the same results. other than that, good work. i love it.

Wire frames

Sorry to be a grammar nazi, but it’s actually “voila” Unless of course that was intentional, in which case forget I said anything!

@Kramon - Those clay-wire renders look pretty sweet! And the tyre/rim renders look absolutely amazing - can’t comment on the type of tyre needed, though, 'cause I really don’t know much about that aspect of auto customization

I have some sad news but the project is a bit in frozen stage right now. I have egzams and other stuff now.

This is how the car looks right now:
