Festive Fun (Unofficial Weekend Challenge!)

CLOSED

Since there isn’t an official Weekend Challenge this weekend, in a rum punch stupor last night it was agreed there should be an unofficial one, sssh don’t tell Teeth!

Because I know you’ll all be busy plying your creative skills on wrapping special presents for loved ones and probably doing the getting fat thing, it will start right now and continue until Tuesday 28th 11am GMT. (I know i’ll need something to do after dinner whilst all are dozing it off and trying to entertain the kids)

The topic is “Festive Fun”, (any and all festivities welcome!), however there is an added style theme of “stopmotion / claymation / paper cut out”, so pull those crackers, put your party hats on and get creative.

If there was to be a prize, i’ll send Helix some spondoolies and get him to send you a “whatdoyoumacallit” chocolate bar, he can send me one too because I don’t believe they exist, it’s just too Willy Wonka to be true!

As usual with my competitions there is only one rule and that is:

Have Fun!

:stuck_out_tongue:

Yikes, it’s the 23rd today, I’ll be on a family thing for four days between now and the 28th, it’s 11:13 pm local time, that leaves, umm, around 1 day. Sounds good to me…

this is my non-participating entry.
i dont think its really fair as i started this ages ago

Funny, I pondered this myself, good call rarebit, can never turn down having fun! I too have family obligations but, I’m quite sure I can find even a few hours to work on something (even if it ends up a clay render… be alright anyways for claymation)… because I’m going all out fun, I don’t even care how it comes out in the end.

Also, enjoy your holidays everyone and stay safe!

Its a Whatchamacallit, and they DO exist. :stuck_out_tongue:

Great! Love the style requirement idea. I’ll see what I can do :spin:

Merry Christmas everyone

Sound like fun. Maybe this contest will create enough items for next years Blender Artists Animated Holiday Special.
Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

i might make another with the added style themes

Awesome, sounds like fun! I’m in.

See rarebit, I told you Whatchamacallits were real! And you have to believe Taz, because she even spelled it right:)

Casio23, very nice!

I was thinking about this one then I saw the CGcookie contest and I’m sry guys but I gatta go for that one. I might be able to pull something out when I’m done.

Yea, I think I’m in, just hope I’m back home in time to get my entry in… I’ll be spending christmas where dial up internet is the only thing available.

Happy Hanuchristmaskwanza to everyone!

And who’s roasting the Turducken?

Randy

Is it mandatory that the entry be animated?

@Krisnack, I don’t want to speak for rarebit, but this is what I think.

Just having fun.

Don’t make me larf!

Bah humbug!

No, nothing is mandatory except a big cherry smile, and even that’s optional if your well hung over!

But, it should probably look like it’s quite animate-able.

If you do like Helix, then you can feel good in yourself because his massive moooose made me larf!

HAVE FUN!

You two are in collusion together and I bet even secret Umpa Lumpas.

All I really need to know is, do they taste gooood?

Alright Charlie! You know you aren’t suppose to give away all the Umpa Lumpa secrets. Turn in your everlasting gobstopper now! (also real BTW) And I’m sending over my reindeer to drop a deuce on your lawn for calling him a moose! (I won’t animate out of respect for the BA community)

hi guys,
i managed to find time for this: http://www.pasteall.org/pic/show.php?id=7697
this is my participating entry, i used the paper cutout theme, I’m sure you can guess.
thanks
derek

That’s cool Casio! It’s very mesmerizing.:spin: Nice job!

That is nice, I like the paper feel to it.

thanks guys, i dont want them to change the blender internal.
i like it as a “bunch of tricks,” you can accomplish things in this that you cannot in luxrender or something else, in the glitchy unrealistic way. after all, if i wanted an extremely photo-realsitic picture, i do have a camera…
