it hasn’t come out in australia yet, but i don’t think i’ll get it, i don’t like needing to buy a game and then pay to play it
Well its the same concept as webhosting, you pay monthly for them to keep your character on their servers, which insures less cheating due to the files being easily checked, as well as safety of your file…

wow he even spelt it wrong, not quite smart AND a narrow mind, dont get that so often, like Kane im from Aus and heavily awaiting this game, i have only see nthe trailer for it a while back which was awesome. The first FF game i played was 10, and i loved it to death, now im a huge fan, and usually use the CG and basic design of the games for my own style reference. Also FF12 has a site up already O_O and were down here waiting for x-2 (feb) and 11 (god knows when!). ah well still cant wait

Can you get a house or a shop? can you customise it too?
It has a central storyline, with a pretty amazing CG intro (as most Square games do…), but its not too intertwined that it makes it feel-unopen-ended
Everyone, as far as I know, has a house, we all get a house in Windurst, I know at least…Yes you can customize it with furniture and plants, and use it to keep your key items, and everyone’s house comes with their own moogle

i have on question about ffXI, about game passes, i heard that you need to be at a high level and it costs lots of money, is this true?
World Pass, I’m not sure what the level is, but you buy it to get people’s characters (upon creation only) into specific servers or worlds, by entering the world name/code at the char-creation screen
Damn, funny thing seeing this post… I just quit my subscription to FFXI since it just didn’t do it for me anymore. I was hooked when I first started playing but after a couple payments, when my free month expired, I got sick of it. It just seems like once you’ve played a MMORGP you’ve played them all. Run, Run, hack, run, run, hack…die, run…etc. Great game if you have money to spare, not the best game for us low incomers. 
I will say that the graphics were impressive if you have a higher end machine.
Really I Blame Blender and Amorphium3 for me quitting too. All my interest has been in 3d graphics and guitar lately so I havn’t had time to sit down and play a game for more then 30 minutes.
