My grandmother, when she was alive would sometimes treat me to what we referred to as Russian Pancakes (which are basically crepes with just butter and syrup on top). She would often point out the legs and tails some of them would have after being poured and baked. I would have up to 6 of them at once, but that largely stopped once she passed away. The ones my parents started to make at times are not as varied.
