Fine-manipulating edges... how to..?

Hey

I am very new to Blender, and this is my first post here…

Question;

If you have an object, for example, a Mesh Cube. You then subdivide it a few time, and hit smooth, the sharp corners become rounded…

Is there any way to finely control how much they are rounded? I have used Blender before a long time ago, and went through a bunch of tutorials that showed how to do this, with something like a Size tool, but for the extent to which an object sits up next to the corner of a wire frame, but I can not for the life of me remember how to do it.

Utter noob question, I know, so sorry in advance for any face palming…

Hope you can help!

Cheers.

Owen

Select the edges you want sharper. Hit Ctrl-E and select Mark Sharp. Then in the Properties panel (N key), find the Mean Crease value. Change that and see the edges become sharper.

Hey

Sorry I didn’t reply sooner. OK, that was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks so much! That was such a break-through for me, you have no idea!

Thanks again.
