I’ve been attempting to make fire using the new smoke simulator in Blender 2.5 for quite some time now. There are several good tutorials that demonstrate how to create it, but I never get the same result as the authors. I have a suspicion it has to do with different default settings in different versions. That’s just a hunch though.
Does anyone know of a fire tutorial for the latest build of Blender 2.5 (2.55.0)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
also Andrew Price has a cool free chapter of creating realistic (camp)fire: http://www.blenderguru.com/creating-realistic-fire/
But I think you should discover the settings on your own… Do a couple tutorials, and then realize what are you doing
Thanks for the links! Unfortunately, I’ve tried all of those tutorials. I can create decent smoke pretty easily, but when it comes time to add materials and render I get stuck. They never seem to work for me…
