Glad to see you are making some progress!!!
Notice how after doing this -
You were able to get help
Yes, you had to open the “Surface” sub-panel, or whatever they are called. Most of those panels are closed by default, and you have to open them to get access to the settings via the right arrow - ‘>’
So let me ask you this, did you actually do the video tutorial suggested in this post
???
Because opening and closing sub-panels is a basic skill that I’m sure was covered in that video.
This is likely because of the bad advice you followed in the other thread. You are instancing your objects using a geo-nodes set up. So copies of your objects are now appearing/rendering on the ‘Plane’ object. Your original ‘HeartPieces’ collection is also set to render, so I think that is why you have 2 copies in the render.
Try un-checking the check box next to the ‘HeartPieces’ collection in the outliner. That might get rid of the smaller object in the render.
IDK why that isn’t working. If you can render a single image, you should be able to render an animation. Maybe post up your most recent .blend file?
Discord is a popular app/online community thing. With it you can share screens with each other and do voice/text chats. With it, I could talk you thru things like
Got an idea for a video on parenting and I create it soon. Stay tuned…
