Hi! I decided to make an account in order to connect with other Blender users and maybe share some of the things I’ve cooked up. So today, I’d like to share the first ever simulation I made: a looping snow fall simulation with custom snowflakes I made for a video I’m working on:

I’m personally very happy with it for my first simulation! The snowflakes took a bit of messing around and consultation from a friend of mine (who is apparently a snowflake snob (his critiques helped, though)), and I referenced 3 tutorials for the snowflakes, particle simulation, and materials for the snowflakes since despite watching MANY tutorials for fun, not everything is quite clear to me when it comes to doing things like shaders or geometry nodes quite yet. However, I still took creative liberties and experimented.

I’m planning on using this looping animation for a video I’m working on, and I think it’ll work great as a nice background effect for the video.
