First render (a snail)

Okay, so this is my first real render ever in Blender. I’m actually a coder and not and artist, I’m just trying to get a hang of it for fun. Be gentle.

Thats good for a first render,my first render wasn’t half as good and I like to think of myself as an artist.

thats not bad at all, considering this is ur first render it looks very nice, like the cartoony style

yeah… pretty nice for a first render. the style is good.
could you try adding borders like a cartoon and post the pic??

My first render was a cube:p
It’s very good and quite funny. I have one and only one crit and that is that you should make the snail himself a bit less squary.

it’s wonderful! Very good for someone who just started in BLender. My first render was black… my second render was black, too.

I believe I have a visible cube in my 87th render.

Just have to note that of course it’s not the first thing coming out when I hit “render” the first time ever in Blender. It’s just my first final rendered scene, as you probably understand

That’s extremely nice for a first render. My first render was a sphere with a purple spotlight shining on it. >.<

Nice, the jaw needs to be a bit less blocky (wait… A JAW! :p) and it would look really cool with a quick texture on the ground and the shell, maybe just noise without much color difference from the normal color.

It makes me feel real stupid because I’ve never changed the background color at all, and my first render that wasn’t blank was the bottom corner of a cube. The next one was the oppisite corner, there should just be an option to set the camara to your main view. I still don’t have one that I’m ready to show.

Heh… animate it eating a grass blade, that would be funny, OMGROFLMAOBBQ.
