hm now I have one question I’ve rotated the knife to fit on the table… but if I want to edit the knife again and want to oriantate on the grid floor. How do I do that?
Did you rotate the mesh or the object? If you rotated the object then press N in object mode and you can change the rotation from the pop-up. If you rotated the mesh then … someone else might help you.
If you rotated it in edit mode all you can do is hope that you used the ctr key to rotate in 5deg. increments, otherwise you might as well remake it because that wwould be easier.
if you did it in object mode press alt-g to clear rotation, it should go back to the starting rotation.
also, to make it shiny:
in the materials tab go to reflections/transparency menu.
enable raytracing and turn the slider up, for metal you probably want it up all the way.
in the render buttons, enable raytracing (the button is called ‘ray’)
render
optional: you can add a background image so it reflects that.
By holding ctrl down while moving things around snaps them to grid for finer snap hold ctrl+shift. These combinations work with rotating and scaling too. But then again I didn’t understand your question completely.
… nono i know the thingt with ctrl. Because i want to use that i need the model to be oriantated on the grid.so that if i press s and z and scale anything down it will change the right thing.
Now I have rotated the sword in the scene about 45°, so it doesn’t fit to the grid anymore and i can’t use that anymore. So i would have to put it somewhere else. edit it and then move it back again. I thought maybe it is possible to do it on another way.
A feature that if I use local view that it align the model to the center or anything else.
hope it come clear. sorry if I talk not that good. I’ve to improve my english skills afterall
