Being a huge computer and anime fanatic, I had to spend some time making a cg katana. These are actualyl supposed to be odachi, or large, two-handed katana. This was my first run at it.
After feeling that I had missed major components, I remade it from scratch , adding blood channel, pins, lengthening the guard piece, and shortening the pommel. The second katana is also made of multiple objects, allowing for dissassembly. Obviously not good for a game, and too low quality for major work.
I personally prefer the first one for the reflection on the blade. The second one I just realized I never smoothed the scabbard, so it looks wrong.
