First Yafray Project: Coffee.

I posted a few renders of this scene in an earlier thread, First Official Yafray Render. But I realized, this has become a project, not a beginner render. Whatever. Here’s the latest.

My last two projects were done in Blender internal. In each case, I got to a point where I wanted to switch to Yafray, only to realize that I couldn’t because I had relied on too many nonsupported Blender internal features. So I finally said, “That’s it! Once this is done, I’m switching to a ‘Yafray only’ project. No starting in Blender internal only to regret it later. It is time to make my peace with external renderers. Once and for all.”

I WILL BE PERIODICALLY POSTING NEW RENDERS. SO STAY TUNED.

the modelling is good…the flare in the bak is not realistic…

Been a while. The HDR background was unwrapping properly (as you can see from the black spot in the spoon’s reflection.) so I fixed the background. And no! It’s too yellow now!

I tried a different angle.

A few other HDR backgrounds.

I liked the last HDR lighting (which is why I did a higher-res render.) But it feels less real than the original lighting. Oh well. I’m gonna go on to a few other projects, and work some with indigo. At this point I don’t know if there’s much I want to do with this project. I may come back to this, but probably not soon.
