First Yafray test

I have been meaning to get around to doing some Yafray renders to test it out and see what it can do. I finally got around to doing it, and I have to say I like it a lot. I wanted to test out HDRI lighting as well.

The scene below has no lamps at all; all the lighting is HDRI. The render is a pen, with a magnatized base, (the little chrome donut shaped object) that hold the pen upright when it is placed on the base. The red cubes I just threw in to test caustics and add variation. I hope you like it.

This is my first Yafray render, so if you have any crits on how to improve, I am all ears.

You’ve been on this forum for practically 2 years and this is your first yafray render?
Talk about a hardcore blender renderer.
The cubes are nice but the reflection of the silver things seems a bit heavy.

LOL, yea I have used the Blender internal for a long time. It always pretty much did what I wanted it to do. So I was never really in need of something better. But you are right, I probably should have used it sooner. :expressionless:
