Hello, I want to start making my own fishing lures. But I need a 3D model of it first to be able to make the molds in real life. I’m looking for someone, hopefully a fisherman (I’ve got a gift), to help me with this, as I have almost 0 knowledge on blender to create a lure myself.
I unfortunately can’t offer money in exchange, but for someone who fishes or would like to gift someone a fishing lure, I could definitely create you 3 lures personalized by choice, but keep in mind if you accept the lures it will take a LOT of time, as to create this business I need a lot to invest first before I start getting sales. Or you could do it for free for your partner here!
I want the lure to be proportional (as in the pictures above), and I will also make bigger lures but for that I would only need to scale them.
PS: If you want to have an idea of how the fishing lures would look, DM me, or send a text here as I have some reference photos. And in doubt of anything also text me.
There might be some missunderstanding… maybe because of you mentioning business and i’m missinterpreting this. Also because if you do not know blender this much… how would you do the develop/ refinement chit chat to make suggestions about for example something like this…
Or maybe making some adjustments by yourself to finallize the model into some export format to use it in some 3D printer… ??
Not to mention how to make this really 3D printable if some details will be added ?? Because you need the whole 3D printabel workflow which i do not have too much of knowledge about; only this much that it is not easy…
That was the reason i suggested to try to make a paid job offer; maybe someone with more knowledge about the workflow could tell you how much this really would cost… or would be willingly to do this for free.
You may also search for some 3D printing post here on BA (top right; icon) there are some users very familiar with this here. Maybe specific questions are easier to answer and so you may even reach a broader audience.
Again: this is a complex topic/workflow and not simply doing some modelling and print it…
I’m also sure there are lots of postings or even article about this in some 3D printing communities.
I can’t even guess how much (or little) fishing enthusiastics are also using a 3D printer and are also so much interested into 3D modellig so that they are registered users in here.
So you might underrate the work amount ? (Even refining the model while i was writing )
Anyway:
Good luck.
Edit: ohh and there is also the problem to get the correct size onto the 3Dprinter because STL in fact do not use a unit… (so that’s another problem to know off)
So, I didn’t really understand everything you said because english isn’t my first language. But as far as I understood you weren’t hating? So, I’m sorry for being rude.
Yes I know this is very hard, like super hard. And tbh if I could pay for someone to do this I could, but I believe it would cost around half of the budget I need to start this business.
I also have another easier alternative, I can/will ask for a friend of mine if he could do or help me do this lure on wood, and then later I could scan it to 3D, wich would still cost me money, but less.
Well i see a lot of problems… especially when you seems to have not noticed that i not only showed a screenshot but also a file with a prototype model. And now also the language barrier.
I did notice the ss, but I didn’t notice the file. I really apprecciate it. But idk what to do with it, even tough it looks very good and ofc better then mine, its kind of different of what I wanted, and the back is slightly curved, wich in any cirmumstances it can’t be. And that his head is slightly bigger then his body. So being honest Idk what to do with it.
If you want to check this is where I’m right now. fishlure6.blend (866.7 KB)
Ps: I wouldn’t say there’s a language barrier English isn’t my first language but I would say I speak English fluently, its just that you wrote a lot of words I never heard because they’re related to blender, so I didn’t get much in a previous message of yours.
Thats what i meant : simply drawing a top (?) and side view (which doesn’t match completely) is not enough. For example i didn’t recognized that one side has to be “plain”… properly there is a reason for this. The next might be: are the lines for the gills menat to be real geomtry? And what about the side flappers…
If this would be for your personal use i would suggest posting this in the WIP region of the forum because there will be multiple hints to follow and as i said some evolving chit chat, but since you have some “special” plans for this. But maybe this helps to get some decent starting point ? I don’t know…
Good luck and feel free to ask specifc question about some modeling tips in the modeling or wip area…
