Fitting uv all in on a map

Is there a way to increase the uv map size. my uv meshes are overlapping and When i decrease the uv cut sizes then they no longer match the 3d models uv coords.Sorry for my lack of knowing the correct terminology.

Can you show a screenshot of what you made so far?

The uv map size depends on the texture size. Just make sure you have all your uv islands tightly packed within the UV texture area.

Hey nova problem happened when i joined to meshes then the uv mao got flooded so i have done the 2 uv maps first then joined the objects after .

You must then apply the different textures with 2 seperate materials to the new object.
