These are a few of my latest works…I barely ever get a chance to do traditional work lately, so these were actually done over the course of a few months. Just been busy with game design projects and client-based graphics work lately…

Anyways, if you wanna know more about each piece, just click the links. Any thoughts or critique?

Im amazed that nobody has replied to this yet.

The first image is especially haunting for me, having grown up in africa and seeing children in this kind of condition on a fairly regular basis. My dad worked for a charity called Actionaid and I was never sheltered from the crueler side of life.

The technical excellence makes it an even more powerful work, it’s a definite 5 star piece. well done.

The second work is also very good, and I love the colour usage. As for the rest, well, they are pretty abstract, which isn’t my cup of tea…but I can understand how people would appreciate them.

Thanks for the comment!

Yea, abyssus is probably the darkest and most haunting piece i’ve done. As a matter of fact, it was kinda hard to work on at first because it stirred strong emotions within myself as well. But it was meant to be a realistic interpretation of the crisis, so I didnt want to sugar coat it…

Again, thanks for the comment!

amazing work, tomorrowman.

the first obviously shows your skill in realistic drawing. and the rest that are abstract have such depth…also somewhat elusive, hidden, shadowing subjects throughout. i love that because you could just look at them for an hour.

again, very good…i’ll probably show my older brother these. he’s working on mixed media pieces now and i’m sure he’ll appreciate your style - any specific artist or piece that inspired your “style” (that’s not really the best word i guess)?

Thanks for the comment jason!

Yea, I usually try to sneak hidden meanings or slightly obscure images in my abstract stuff…I just think it makes it more interesting.

Hmmm…well, I draw inspiration from alot of sources. Many of the old masters of the past give me inspiration(such as dali, escher, van gogh, rembrandt, pissaro, degas, etc, etc). However alot of modern day artwork I come across also gives me quite a bit of inspiration. I wouldnt say that my style is directly inspired by anyone specific though…im just inspired by great work in any genra of art. I try not to stay stagnant or repetative, im always exploring a vast array of different sytles and techniques, so thats probably why my work looks quite a bit different from piece to piece.

Anybody else have any comments or crits?

heh, kinda wanted to see what more people here at elysiun thought, since most people over at deviantart never give me any useful comments(ie, koolzzzz!!!):stuck_out_tongue:
