Fixed point in Pendulum

Hello,
I’m making an example of a swinging pendulum animation to teach the principle of easing to my high school students. How can I fix the top of the Cylinder I’ve created to stay in the same spot a sI animate the sphere and the bottom of the cylinder to swing back and forth?

If you rotate the cylinder it will rotate on it’s “centre point” - it looks like you’ve already set that up.
If you want the sphere to move with the cylinder, parent the sphere to the cylinder, then animate the cylinder.
in object mode - right-click the sphere, shift-right-click the cylinder, press control+p,
then look up more info about parenting (optional)
