Flashing lights.

I need to make a light flash, this will actually be a colour brightness in a mesh and a lamp to achieve the full effect.

It’s a 500 frame scene and I don’t really want to have to key it all manually. I’ve looked at the graph editor and while there is a sine wave in there I can’t figure out how to square it off, or set a number of frames per cycle.

What’s the best and easiest way to achieve this?

Thanks.

Keyframe a single cycle then in the graph editor menu: Channel, Extrapolation Mode, ‘Make Cyclic’ it will just keep repeating the original keyframes forever.

You can also adjust those few manual keyframes afterwards and the changes swill automatically copy and extrapolate.

Thanks Photox. As soon as you pointed me in the right direction I remembered. I don’t get enough practice.
