I have been using the cg cookie flex rig for a project and I have ran into a problem when I try to render the character.

I’ve run into this before, but that was a while ago. I seem to remember it had something to do with materials settings.
Whatever render engine you’re using, try using the other (if you’re using BI, try Cycles; if Cycles, try BI). It’s possible the material corresponding to the render engine you’re using has been inadvertently removed and by using the other engine, you’ll see the missing hair/whatever.
Thank you for your help, there were a few materials that were using cycles shaders and were not rendering correctly in BI. I converted them over and solved this problem. Thanks again for the help.
I had the same problem and I solved it in another way. After that I put in the right place the texture folder that was lost after moving the blend file reappeared hair and eyebrows. It works well with BI
