Flight in an "18th century" painting...

Hi, so I finally converted to DivX a short clip I made years ago (when I had not so many kids  ). Even after so much time, and although it was rendered with ye olden Blender, because I have never shown it here, here we go… It’s based on this pix:
I know, there is a contracdiction between the content of the book, and the alleged time-frame… that’s OK: at the time, it was a riddle for a French Painter named “Jacques Poirier” a hyper realist painter (oil) who could make you think that his trompe-l’oil paintings were photographs… I will address that problem next time I import this file in a later blender (all the materials can be improved, so I can change my own pix for the book)…

I guess one of these days I will wake up the computer where this blend file resides, import it in the latest Blender, and make justice to these models. Finally, if I don’t die before, I will finish the uber-human project this is part of (it’s moving slowly, but I’m patient) given that God gave us only 24 h, and so many things to do beside blending  (that’s OK, it just that)…

Does any US lawyer know what are the implications of using some copyrighted music for such a short sample? Thanks. Is-it fair use? Maybe I will get rid of the music (it doesn’t add that much, only I love it)…

BTW: if you are currious about Poirier’s work
http://www.galerie-boulet.com/ select Poirier, and select his “original works” link. I find him inspiring and amazing…

Very nice work! But…
The camera mooves too jerkily, and it never rotates.
Besides that it’s great, and I love the music.

lemmy: you’re so right on the jerkiness. I hope I will find the time soon to re-open the blend file to do it… Thanks for the feed-back.

Actually lemmy, on second thoughts, I know why at the time I didn’t render wiht a camera rotation: it takes so many frames to rotate (in and by itself, it’s like a travel), that it was going to make the video too big. That was before I knew of divX, so the size was a BIIIG concern.
I really meant to fly to the opening of the telescope, and I was hoping to transition to a moon view, realistically (not done yet)… I guess that explains it (I should have thought through before I responded. Oh well…
