Flight Simulator Objects: Help Needed

Hi all,

X-Plane is a flight simulator used by thousands around the world at home. Users have the ability to create custom scenery packages, such as a scenery package of New York City in which all the buildings are re-created in 3D, etc.

I’m in the process of working on my first package for X-Plane for a series of airports in Canada - find the thread on it here: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/102381-cyqycyhz-scenery-developments/#comment-1019202.

This has been in the works for about half a year, and it will not end until it is completely finished. This will involve 3D designing buildings and objects, some of which I’ve started. But because this is my first package, and because it’ll be for free, I am seeking help. I will help create the objects in Sketchup and can then export them to .dae for Blender so they can be UV wrapped, etc.

I have been following this order because I am familiar with Sketchup, and find it easy to work in initially, but I need a much higher-quality for X-Plane than what Sketchup offers.

In short, these objects will be 3D and will have very limited animation (lights, for example, on top of buildings). A plugin is available for Blender to export the file into the appropriate format for X-Plane.

A amount is available for compensation per airport, with dozens of objects needing completion.

Don’t hesitate to ask any questions! Hope to hear back from some people.
