Hi guys,
moving from 2.8 and working mainly in Unreal I have a problem with the new shading of the 3D View.
In the past, 2.79, when normals are flipped the mesh looked strange in terms of shading. The model was almost black and you immediatly knew the problem.
No in 2.8 this behavior changed and I have hard time seeing my models always flipped in Unreal.
Yes, I could use Backface Culling per default, or recalculate the normals whenever I export the model, but this feels a bit clunky.
Is there a way to overcome this issue?
Thanks for your help
You could turn this option on once in a while. It can be added to Quick Favourites even.
this will change all the objects in the scene
for one object you could also in edit mode add the old way normal’s line on faces!
happy bl
I already know these option, but I thought somewhere in the back is still the option to get this behavior.
@ RickyBlender - you are talking about this here, right?

My best option will be to assign the face orientation to the Quick Favourites. It’s not optimal, but a way of doing it. I already see me exporting meshes with flipped normals over and over again, until it turns over into my muscle memory
Thanks guys
