I really like the idea and concept.
Guess the challenge is over now, but I will leave some feedback anyway. Hope that is okay.
In general your models look good, but the ‘perfectly’ squared island with the 100% sharp edges ruins a bit of the realism imo. With the ANT Landscape Addon you can easily and quickly generate interesting looking rocks/mountains/floating islands.
The flowers also need a bit of variation. Variation is on of the key things to photo realism.
Anyway…
