I got inspired after checking this photo: http://www.deviantart.com/view/5491984/ and i’ve tryed to make something similar.
I knew from start I couldnt make it exactly like the photo, but i’ve tryed to make it realistic. At least, the most realistic I could 
I would love to get some crits/suggestions on how to improve this work!

looks great now, but add some spec on flower and smooth that orange thingy.
Good start, I really like the way this is shaping up.
A couple of things that I think would improve it:
Make the background leaves a bit darker (though not much).
Have a ‘join’ between the anther and petals, at the moment there is too harsh an edge.
Looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

the join is still missing! but i’ve been playing with lights and the flower spec’s.
