I was playing with Blender arrays system, and this is what I’ve made 
It would be nice if the array modifier would have a random setting
hmm… a random setting might actually be pretty cool, never thought of that before. I like the flower, has some nice colors.
Hows about a bit of SSS on the flower, eh?
just think about how easily and cool you could make a flower
especially if you could specify a group to fill in the array not just an object, and to be able to affect the scale, location and rotation randomly.
Everything in life is not ordered or it give this impression.

This could easily be done with a script and there may be some similar to what you want in the scripting subforum
