fluid doesnt obey gravity properly

Hi. I have a scene where fluid first hits an obstacle and then should carry on vertically, but it continues its way horizontally instead, and then goes down. I don’t what it to travel horizontally that much, so where should I make changes ? what settings responsible for this?

Is your obstacle set to Shell ? If no, give it a try.

Maybe its an issue of fluid resolution. Try increasing it and see if it helps.

It also depends on what you have your world size, speed and time end factors set to. These effectively allow for slow motion fluid which can defy gravity.

Time End should be the timeline end number divided by the fps of the scene.
