Fluid particles not binding to the domain?

So I’m following this tutorial, and what I’ve done is enabled fluid particles for my simulation, by turning up the subdivisions, tracer, and generate.

I also have created particle objects (the cubes), and icospheres with particle instance modifiers on them. Based on the tutorial, it seems like the particles should now be rendering as icospheres, but instead, the icospheres seem just to come out of the original (on the bottom right side). Does anyone know what is happening / what I am doing wrong here? Thanks much!

I think you should: apply scale and location to Icosphere object. (ctrl+a)
