Here is a tutorial due to high demand. It shows the basics of the Fluid Particles system in Blender to get you started.
I also go through some basic modelling, scene setup, compositing and rendering.

Sweet tutorial, thanks. I wish i could get this to work with actual fluid though, it never contains itself within the glass for me.

My balls are bulging out of the bottom my cup, any ideas why that could be?

The only thing I can think of is maybe it’s from the subsurf modifier shrinking your cup. The only way I can tell for sure is if you upload your .blend and I have a look at it.
