Hi,
I didn´t know, where exactly to post this, so i put in in here.
I just have a little question: what is the Gridlevel option in the ‘advanced’ fluid tab for?
and another Problem, i just ran into. I changed the viscosity-exponent from 6 to 7 (minus). and now, the baked fluid frequently changes between two seperate versions of the same simulation, that aren´t really there. I´ve already checked the temp-folder, but it was empty before. It seems to me, as if i simulated once, and by the second time, it didn´t overwrite some of the bin-obj´s… hm…
Yeh, it sounds like you haven’t copied over all of the previous fluid sim. You can change the name of the scripts that blender exports for the fluid and that will basically ignore any other previous simulations. (Unless of course they have the same name)
As for the grid levels, im not entirely sure. If you just leave it on default (-1) then you shouldn’t have any problems. Ive never had to change it.
Theres a nice article on wiki about the fluid simulation - Here
That also leads to several more advanced tutorials.
And theres also the BsoD guide which i found pretty good. Here
Ah, thanks for your reply.
The strange thing is, I just simulated once, then i changed the temp-folder. but…doesn´t matter anymore. I did reset the preset to ‘water’ …it doesn´t behave as good as with the -7 as exponent, but that´s okay for now.
And i already studied the wiki page deeply. But i couldn´t figure out, what these “advanced gridlevels” mean. I think the explanation is a bit redundant.
