I am baking a fluid simulation that is taking many hours, and I have set the “Simulation threads” number to 8 because my CPU has 8 cores. However, when I watch the system monitor, the total CPU usage is only 30%-40%. It IS using all the CPU cores, but all of them seem to be running at this range, 30%-40%.
When I do rendering, it has no problem pushing all the cores to 100% flat out.
How come fluid baking doesn’t seem to use all the available power and is there something I can do about it?
Thanks,
Mikkel
