Fluid Simulation Obstacle Problems

Hey guys, I’m having some issues with Blender’s Fluid simulator. I’m trying to create an effect of an object bursting out of the water, but much of the fluid is sticking to the top of the obstacle. I’ve made sure I have free slip selected on the obstacle, but it still sticks to the surface. Am I doing something wrong here?

Make sure your viscosity is set to water
Increase the domain real world size to the max of 10 meters.
Increase the domain resolution until the estimated memory is 200-500 MB.
Make sure your frames/fluid time match. So if you have 150 frames, at 24 fps thats just over 6 seconds, make sure the fluid sim has 6.05 as it’s time
Watch a movie while it bakes.
