fluid simulation

fluid sims?
Hi. if there is anyone out there who knows about fluid sim in blender I NEED YOUR HELP!
(ok … maybe I’m not that desperate). any way…

when I start up blender and enable fluid simulation for the default cube and flag it as a domain…(ie click the domain button in the fluid sim buttons) and then hit Alt+a to animate (without doing anything else to the cube) , the fluid simulation from my PREVIOUS animation starts playing.
Is blender supposed to do that?
( I hit alt + a before adding any fluids or obstacles to the new scene)
( I hope this question makes sense)

yes. you have to bake. without a bake, you get no cake. Instead, you get leftover cake. and there is no party without fresh cake. I’m still alive.

EDIT: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Manual/Fluid_Simulation

what does that mean?

It means you have to read the manual.

I type “google blender fluid simulation” at google and pages come up.

I learned a lot by watching youtube fluid sim tutorials, you can too.

Then you can have your cake and eat it too!
