Hi, test with new 2.64 version… Tile is fantastic

Simple, nice. It’s about lighting in cases like these.
Btw. One animation should be better than t̶h̶o̶u̶s̶a̶n̶d̶ nine pictures.
so if we do the math one animation is better than 1.000.000 words
haha
Nice image bro but I would mention that is from Andrews tut. Just so everyone know and Hell have full rights.
Hey, this is cool, but notice how in your splash, the bubbles start in the middle of the sphere. Here is a reference:
I dont want to seem like a hater, but are you really sure you want to post this into Finished Projects?
I mean you are posting an image series and this is the result of a tutorial, so i think focused critique might be better.
Anyways, the images are looking good +1 for an animation.
Not sure if andrew would have any IP rights to people’s output from a tutorial, unless they used a .blend he provided? Bob Ross never owned the rights to any of his viewer’s paintings, don’t see why this would be different.
Do agree that it bears mentioning that it’s the result of a tutorial, but I’m sure we are all aware of that anyway…
Good result though.
looks great, maybe some more tweak can make the final result (especially still) much more realistic
The first image will look astonishing if you drop the HDRI studio and use a simple two-lamp rig.
Thanks
I only make a splash with a ball. Yes, I saw Price tutorial but fluid setting are not the same. I want to find my hardware limits.

Hey, I have that card, but my pc is dead for now.
Does it play nice with blender? Also, how long did it take?
I think it needs a bit more smoothing at that resolution. You can kinda see the curves are not as smooth.
yes… I need more RAM… for this simulation I used resolution = 300 and subdivision level=3. It’s the best I can do with my hardware
I have to say I think you guys are being a bit hard on this render. The result is very good and dare I say better that Andrew’s:) The lighting seems fine to me and the black white and red color completment eachother nicely imo. However all I would suggest is focusing on composition meaning I would do a longer width rendering (maybe 4 times the height) placing the ball on the left side in approximately the area of the top left and bottom left thirds intersection and then allow the splash to spray right are far as it will go with the water level line spliting the image. Visually I think that would look awesome and simple and I could easily see that on a canvas print on a wall as art:) Great job even thought it was basically a test you have got a great result:) Happy Blending:)
very realistic render!
Holy crap!
How much RAM do you have?
EDIT: Scratch that, I see. GPU rendering.
That must have been a bitch to bake and to render at such a high resolution
The only thing, at such high resolution, everything looks out of focus
