Fluid vs solid animation

I know I can animate fluid movement, solid dropping in fluid, etc.

But is it possible to use a solid to move a fluid, like when stirring coffee with a spoon?
If yes, how?

just use standard keyframe animation to move your spoon through your liquid, then make sure it is set as an obstacle and bake the fluid
