I haven’t been able to figure out how to get blender to simulate a pressurized stream of water. It always seems to be “pouring” in some way. I’ve tried the attraction thing, and the gravity settings. If the “units” of measurement of these controls actually meant anything maybe I could figure out where to set them to get something useful.
What I’m trying to simulate is water coming out of a shower head.
Set the fluid as an inflow and adjust the inflow velocity settings for the direction you want your fluid to go. Increase the velocity to simulate higher pressure.
I think I 'm getting somewhere with fluids… I was being way too conservative with the changes in the velocity. I’ve found that, by setting the “X” velocity to between 5.0 and 8.0, the fluid will shoot out and curve back to ground (with the default gravity settings.)
The viscosity setting for water, however, looks more like mercury. Is there any way to get more “watery” water?
You could probably fix the mercury looking effect by changing the size. The default size of the bounding box is 3 centimeters, which is probably smaller than you’re looking for.
