Fluorescent Lighting setup help

Hello everyone. I am having some difficulty making a fluorescent light fro a game I am making in 2.77. I have the model set up but I cant seem to get the lighting right. Since area lights aren’t usable in trunk, I need a setup where there is uniform light across the whole model. Any ideas?

Fake it:

  • You can scale spot lights
  • If the light is far away (ie ceiling), you can probably get away with a point light.
  • Bake it.
  • Play around with nearby materials specularity hardness until it looks like the lamps light isn’t coming from a single point.
