fog and light

Hey all

I wanted to make a fairly grungy scene on a wet day near some sort of a stone structure. I thought it would look best with some fog. In part of the scene I was thinking I’d have a lamp post creating light that would have to pass through the fog as well.

Any ideas as to the best way to go about creating the fog if you are going to render it in cycles?

I’m assuming the best way would be using a particle simulation? that way the fog can be dynamic? I used the built in fog setting one time… didnt look so great.

Any ideas?
