I want to share with you this nice add-on from @Neltulz called Quick SubD
With this add-on we can in Blender get switch from non-sds to sds like in Modo (shift+Tab).
So how to set it up:
- Simple install, there is no different with other.
- Go to add-on prefs and turn on “Toggle SubD” and set sds level to 2.
- In “N” panel clear hotkeys for 1 and 2 in Object mode and then in Edit mode (or leave them as is or reassign, because if you clear them you can’t reassign for some reason I don’t know…)
- Assign hotkey for “3 (On+)” for any you like. If you want shift+Tab like in Modo, then you need to disable it first in “Keymap”
5.And make sure you assign the same in Edit mode too, if you want to switch to sds/non-sds when edit polygons.
