Force parallel tris to quads?

Hello.

Does anyone know if there are any addons or settings that can force “parallel” when converting tris to quads?

I’ve played around with various angles in the default tool but I often get this situation where what seem like obvious loops are triangulated in weird ways:

Any ideas? It’s not always possible to manually clean them up.

Even if you use for example something like the open sourced MeshLab ( Filters → Polygonal and Quad Mesh → Turn into Quad-Dominat Mesh )… there will always be some tris building a quad you do not want…
