This is my submission to the Weekly CG Challenge 131, and it got 3rd place! I am very happy!
Thanks a lot to everyone behind WCGC for creating this space for us! It is very good to have this possibility to train your skills, learn and share your art with people!
I think of this creature as the Homo Helicons, as it is inspired by the plant Heliconia, which can be found here in Brazil (and in other places in south america I guess)
This model was made with Blender, rendered with Cycles and post-processed with Photoshop.

Just beautiful, I love it !
Really nice work.
And I really like how you put this together in post-prod.
Nice fairy tale forest mood.
Thanks! Glad you like it! Took a good amount of time on post-prod, haha
The anatomy looks really good.
Congrats for sure, really cool work!
Good work! I personally liked the materials in the raw render a little more than the final

Thanks! Yes, the leaves are particles on the tree! I made a simple leave object and used it as particle. I could have put more details on them, but I didn’t want to lose much time with it. Next time though.
Awesome! I really love it! @Daniel_Aubert. Keep it up
Thank you, Jason! Glad you like it!
