Haven’t been elysiun around in a while- decided I’d make a three hundred and somethingth post.
This is the most recent render. It took a bit more than five minutes to render. I wasn’t really paying attention to the time.
It may look familiar. It has been added to since the old days. It was made in the 5/9/2003 binary of TUHOPUU. Of course, Tuhopuu has the better lighting settings. =)
It’s not the Indefatigable, it’s not even finished. It’s still here though.
I gimped it anyway to make it look a bit better. Now there are some weird lines in the clouds but it looks reasonable. At any rate, X-Warrior, your problem was something to do with the server. I let my ftp connection time out and for some reason it was refusing all connections to my site. It’s resolved.
i agree. they look carved. they need to billow and blow. there was some one on this forum who once did drapes and got them very nice and billowy. if anyone can remember who it was or the link to the thread, or the general technique used, that would probably be more helpful than me %|
but the rest of the ship is great!
Wow that rocks. I love the reflection in the water (although IMO its too visible, it needs to be more transparent). How did you do the reflection? I want to do something like this with my boat
five minutes?!? …man, it’ll take me ages to reach the level where i can make meshes that good in 5 minutes AND colour/texture them
…the only thing that bothers me are the sails …they just don’t look natural …draw more wind in them …such sails would never work …too flat …otherwise great work
Beautiful - I like especially the colour of
the light. I have a very similar picture
hanging on my wall, though its not CG.
Only crit are the shadow on the water
which is too visible.
