FPS Enemy AI

I am attempting a FPS game in blender. I am planning on having the enemies melee only (like zombies or giant bugs) I can do this with the “track to” actuator, or is there a better way. (while avoiding python if possible)


Avoiding python? Umm no. I suggest learning python. To continue into more complicated games you will have to use python. I havent looked into it but i think that blender now has navagation meshes, so that’s somthing to look into.

Using states is great too! Like:

-Idle state

-Attack State

-Walk State

Etc. . .

Yea since you are looking to avoid Python, navigation meshes are a little more complicated than the “track to” actuator but can be more effective and work better in most cases.
