Fps shooter- Flatline

waaaaayyyyyy too many polys. That’s an insanely glutinous amount.

im just wondering where u got that 300 poly number from…cuz its definitely wayyyy higher than that dude.

there are a lot of loopcuts you do not need, i marked only a few of them, i could not marked all :smiley:
in the gameengine you need the polies for a siluette, for details you need an normalmap :wink:
and think about whath you see in your fps, i dont think that you see the trigger or other details, so you can leave them away.

Ok here’s what you need to do now (You guns are great looking)

Retopo your guns
Render normal map to your lowpoly (300 - 700 is great, 1,000 is not bad (but pushing on some comps))
Then you have a lowpoly gun that looks not much different than the high poly =)

Ok, Cool. Mabye I was being a little shallow about the poly count! Anyway, im working on my m16 model, trying to lower polys on that as well. I’ll be sure to post more screenshots in about 2-3 days, with the lower poly ak47’s!! Oh, and thanks Linolafett for your info about loop cutting, ill be sure to delete those!

The metal looks alright, and the wood just looks like it has a gloss finish, but it is in a desert and it seems like they would get dusty.
