Fragments. I stumbled upon a little chewable tobacco box in the market recently. The exact one my nani used to keep with her. Something I had probably seen hundreds of times growing up without ever really looking at it.
It’s strange how memory works. You can go years without thinking about something, and then one small, ordinary object brings an entire person back with it.
