Frame number readout in render

I’m sure I saw a posting from someone for something like this, but for the life of me I can’t find the post. I’m hoping someone remembers this.

I’m looking to have a meter/readout of some kind the puts the current frame number on the final image I render.

I believe the one I saw put a simple texture on a plane and parented the plane to the camera. It then updated the texture every frame so you had the frame number rendered onto the image.

If anyone can remember where I might have seen this great, otherwise looks like I’ve got a new quick project to work on, :).

you create a scriptlink from the camera for frame change and somehow write to where-ever the result of Scene.GetCurrent().currentFrame

Hi zaz,

Thanks, that’s it! I thought I saw that recently.

Sheesh, I searched for everything but “counter” … guess I need to get my thesaurus out next time, :).
