Biblical & Ancient Character Creator — FREE v0.1.0
Hi everyone,
I’ve been developing a Blender project called Biblical & Ancient Character Creator (BACC), and I’ve decided to release the first public version completely free.
BACC is intended for Blender artists who want to create and experiment with biblical and ancient-world characters without starting every character, outfit, and setup from scratch.
There is no Pro version, no paid upgrade, and no locked feature tier.
The current release is free to download and use under the included license terms. Optional support is available for anyone who finds the project useful and wants to help me continue developing and documenting it.
Suggested image: David, King Saul, Goliath and a Philistine together.
What is BACC?
Biblical & Ancient Character Creator is a Blender character-creation system focused on characters and visual storytelling inspired by biblical and ancient-world settings.
The goal is to make it easier to build characters inside Blender while keeping the project accessible to artists, storytellers, educators, animators, and anyone experimenting with this type of historical or biblical visual work.
This is v0.1.0, so I am treating this as the beginning of the public project rather than a finished endpoint.
Current Character Content
The current release includes supported character presets and workflows from the BACC project.
Examples include characters such as:
-
David
-
Goliath
-
King Saul
-
Philistine
-
Israelite
-
Jesse
-
Eliab
The exact available controls and options depend on the current v0.1.0 release.
Character Creation
BACC is designed around creating and configuring characters from the Ancient Creator interface inside Blender.
The current system includes tools for character generation and supported preset-based workflows.
My aim is to make the process understandable from inside Blender rather than requiring users to manually assemble every part of a character from unrelated files.
Use a screenshot where the Ancient Creator tab and controls are clearly readable.
Clothing
The project also includes clothing workflows for supported characters.
Where compatible with the current release, clothing can be created and managed through the BACC interface rather than being treated as a completely separate product.
Free — No Paid Upgrade
I’ve decided not to divide BACC into Free and Pro versions.
BACC v0.1.0 is free.
There is:
-
no paid feature unlock
-
no Pro edition
-
no required subscription
-
no paid upgrade required to access the current system
If the project saves you time or helps you create something, there is an optional support/tip option on the download page.
Support is appreciated, but it is not required to download the free release.

Blender Compatibility
Tested Blender version:
Blender 5.2 windows
I don’t want to claim compatibility with Blender versions I haven’t actually tested.
If you successfully use BACC with another Blender version, please let me know which version and operating system you used.
Installation
-
Download the BACC
.zipfile. -
Open Blender.
-
Open the add-on/extension installation area appropriate to your Blender version.
-
Choose Install from Disk.
-
Select the downloaded BACC ZIP.
-
Enable the add-on if Blender requires it.
-
Open the 3D Viewport.
-
Press N to open the sidebar.
-
Look for the Ancient Creator tab.
Please install the ZIP itself rather than manually rearranging files inside it.
Documentation and Tutorials
I am also building the project as a learning resource rather than only releasing finished files.
I plan to share free material showing how parts of the project were created, including:
-
Blender workflow videos
-
creation walkthroughs
-
PDFs
-
screenshots
-
example projects
-
asset-development notes
-
installation and usage documentation
The intention is that users can both use the resources and understand how they were made.
What I Want to Learn From This Release
One reason I chose to release BACC free is that I want actual Blender users to determine where the project goes next.
I’m particularly interested in:
Installation:
Did it install correctly on a clean Blender setup?
Usability:
Could you understand the interface without me personally explaining it?
Characters:
Which presets or character types are actually useful?
Clothing:
Did the supported clothing workflow behave as expected?
Compatibility:
Which Blender version and operating system did you test?
Real use:
What are you actually trying to create with BACC?
Bugs:
If something fails, please include the steps that caused the problem and any Blender error message you received.
What Happens Next?
I already have a larger collection of character, clothing, equipment, scene, and related Blender work.
Instead of dumping everything online at once, I want to release material gradually and see what people genuinely find useful.
That means community feedback can directly influence what I clean up, document, test, and release next.
I’m especially interested in seeing what people actually create with BACC.
If you make something with it, feel free to post your result in this thread.
Project Philosophy
The basic model is simple:
The add-on is free.
The assets and educational material I release around it are intended to be free.
There is no paid upgrade path planned for BACC.
Optional support helps continued development.
My priority right now is making the project useful, testing it with real Blender users, improving the documentation, and learning which parts of the larger project are worth continuing.

Thanks for testing it.
Please report both successes and failures. Knowing that something works on a specific Blender/OS combination is useful information too.
