I just stumble upon this and was quite impressed. It’s made for 3dsmax but I’m sure someone a lot smarter than I could adapt it for Blender. Looks very powerful.

Hah… you know that a lot of those are based on blender code, and have been for years now? (check the credits)
But yes, Bercon’s implementation is quite good.
There’s more important development work needed than any of that though, that is to actually use the provided derivatives to anti-alias/filter Blender’s procedural textures, which has been missing for as long as I can remember, and makes them much less useful for quality work.
Nice tool, but yeah, Broken… 4th line from the bottom of that page.

A tileable procedural generator for Blender would be good though. (Oh dear… Didn’t mean to add yet another voice to this in yet another thread… But it would be good if this got done eventually ;))
Oops, I should read more carefully next time:) but like you said there’s always room for improvement, and yes I’d imagine this is very low priority.
Just wanted to get this on the radar.
